Legal Assistance
If you are the victim in Domestic Violence Court, there are free legal resources available to you. If you need assistance with a family law case (involving the participant in DV Court), child support, name change, assistance with a criminal case (due to abuse), housing issue or small claims, please contact the DV Court Advocate at ClayCountyDVA@gmail.com to see if you are eligible for legal representation.
Safe at Home
The DV Court Advocate can help you enroll in the Safe at Home Program, which is a free confidential mail-forwarding program. Learn more about the program here: Safe at Home (mo.gov)
Filing Contempt
DV Court can assist with filing police reports concerning violations of Orders of Protection and can also assist with completing the contempt paperwork available in DV Court.
